We are often asked, Who can join GWFCU? Over the years the answer has changed. Today anyone can join GWFCU if they work, worship, attend school OR live in Watertown, Waterbury, Thomaston, Bethlehem, Morris, Middlebury OR Woodbury.  Some one is also eligible for membership if they are related, through blood or marriage, to someone that is currently a member. If you live and worship in New Haven, work in Wallingford and do not attend school, however, your brother-in-law is a member of GWFCU, then you are eligible to join. While all of this is “good news”, the best news is that once you are a member of GWFCU, you can always remain a member. This is true even you decide to relocate out of the area. Every year some members will relocate to warmer climate and maintain their accounts using a number of electronic and audio services.
